We had Takoyaki party yesterday at home. It means we made Takoyaki at home, not take-away ones from Takoyaki shop.
Now it's really easy to make gooda taste Takoyaki because all the necessary staff and equipements are sold at stores.
Most difficult part of making good takoyaki used to be proper pan with proper temparature and proper takoyaki powder when we were kids. Actually I don't remember we did it well. All the time, we had to eat bad taste takoyaki because we made it. After some miserable experiences, I stopped making takoyaki at home.
However, the pan is sold cheap at stores and the pan's temparature is already set right as it's electrically controled. We don't have to adjust it before making, so we can't fail in making. Also the power ( or takoyaki flour ) is also sold as TAKOYAKI POWDER, which is already blended with special ingredients for best taste takoyaki. We just add water as instructed, and cook it with octopus (tako in Japanese, also yaki means bake, pan fry or grill in Japanese) and cut leek, red vinegared ginger and some more staff by our favorite choice.
Then the result is always good !
Making takoyaki is really fun. It's a kind of food event for us. Okonomiyaki is also good but takoyaki is more like a fun food for me.
