I often can't decide which to eat for lunch or dinner. For me, choices for meals in Japan are really hard works in wide range of varieties. In that situation, it's sometimes nice to go to department stores or supermarket for finding a good bento. There are many take away bento shops in Japan and they sell hot foods but I prefer buying some at department stores or supermarkets although some of the bento there are not hot enough.
Recetnly the quality of those bento is really good. If you want to eat sushi or sashimi, it's still better going to sushi restaurants, however, it's no bad at all just for quick lunch or easy dinner at home if we choose them from supermarkets' food sections.
Among them, I bought Sushi Bento, deep fried oyster bento, Tonkatsu bento, shrimp tempura and yakisoba bento, and gyoza for side taste. It's good for my family lunch for sharing. As a result, everything was satisfactory enough.
If you stay or live in Japan, you will soon master how to use the food shops conveniently. But you will be sure to be at a loss which to choose from too many variations of bento.
