There is a very famous Bakery in Nasu, which is called Penny Lane. Maybe it sounds strange for foreign people. There is no connection with the word Penny Lane and Bakery. But it's not a matter for Japanese people, we enjoy anything. Anything goes is our privilage.
Actually I think the owner of the shop is a huge fan og the Beatles, that's why this unique shop was born. Quality and the taste of the breads are incredibly good. There are many repeating users and users' voice are speading to far places like Tokyo or Sendai, or more. I also recommend this shop to anyone visiting Nasu resort place. You can enjoy the breads at the coffee shop inside and outside of the bakery, as far as you buy the breads, you can bring them to the cafe and you may just order coffee or tea. However, you should not miss this restaurant's main dishes becuase all of them are really delicious with reasonable price. It's Western style food but all are arrranged into a little bit Japanese style, so many of foreign people can enjoy the NEW experience here.
Beatles fans, just like myself, would be more pleased to visiti this place. Memorabilia of the Beatles are around and they are all worth taking a look at. I don't know how much all of them cost, they look so expensive. Of course the music here is always the Bealtes songs. For non-Beatles fans, these Beatles related atmosphere is not their cause to come here, maybe. They just want to buy good breads.
But I, a Beatles fan, can enjoy this place doubly. Tasty bread and nice music at the cafe is a fabulous time for my resort life in Nasu.
